Shirdi celebrations earn donations worth Rs 2.85 crore

The four-day Ram Navami festival has earned donations worth Rs 2.85 crore from lakhs of devotees, through the Sansthan's cash boxes and donation counters.

SHIRDI: The four-day Ram Navami festival has earned donations worth Rs 2.85 crore from lakhs of devotees, through the Sansthan's cash boxes and donation counters.

However, only 173 grams of gold were received from devotees donation, as compared to last year's Ram Navami Utsav celebrations when 696 grams of gold were received, the Sansthan's deputy executive officer Yashvant Mane said today.

Foreign currency worth lakhs of rupees from 22 various countries also received by the Santhan, he said.
