Shiney Ahuja's judicial custody extended till July 30

The judicial custody was extended by a local court on Thursday.

MUMBAI: The judicial custody of Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, arrested for allegedly raping his domestic maid, was extended till July 30 by a local court here on Thursday.

Ahuja, who is presently lodged at the Arthur Road jail in central Mumbai, was produced before the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate through video conferencing.

Media was, however, not allowed inside the room where the conferencing was held.

The 36-year-old actor was arrested on June 15 for allegedly raping his domestic maid at his residence in Oshiwara at suburban Andheri.

The sessions court had earlier rejected Ahuja's bail application after which his lawyer said that they are likely to approach the Bombay High Court.
