LUCKNOW: Congress Chief Ministerial candidate in Uttar Pradesh Sheila Dikshit met victims of the Bulandshahr rape case, and said that the state government had failed on law and order front and it was time for CM Akhilesh Yadav to “wake up”.

“Law and order is the first priority of any government and the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has failed in it. I would like to tell Akhilesh Yadav to wake up now” she said.

On the other hand Akhilesh Yadav said “some political parties are trying to gain political mileage out of it. What are they trying to tell victims. It was a shameful incident. I will not like to comment on incidents in other states,” Yadav said. He said that the government will get speedy justice to the victims and put the case under fast-track court.

Earlier Sheila Dikshit said that the Congress party would help the victim family start a new life. “We would offer all support for the education of the young girl and get her admitted to best schools” she said.
