Sheena Bora murder case: Cops quiz Peter Mukerjea, still unsure of motive
Mumbai Police on Wednesday recorded the statement of former Star Group CEO Peter Mukerjea, whose wife Indrani has been accused of murdering her daughter Sheena.

Peter Mukerjea went to the Khar police station on Wednesday morning, where he was examined along with his wife. A search in his house was conducted almost at the same time. The team left the Mukerjea residence after 40 minutes but went back again after an hour for another search.
According to police sources, the searches were for a financial transaction related to the sale of INX Media. A team of Mumbai police officials also was in Kolkata to search the residence of Indrani’s former husband and another accused, Sanjiv Khanna. The police is believed to have taken away a laptop from his residence. The Mumbai police believe that since Khanna and Indrani were estranged, the only reason Khanna may have helped his former wife in murdering Sheena was money. The police expect to access some clues from the seized laptop.
Peter Mukerjea’s examining seems to be because the police is still not sure of the motive for murder. Indrani has maintained that Sheena was in the US, even after her passport was found. The cops had taken the statement of Mukerjea’s son Rahul who was in a relationship with Sheena.
