Sheena Bora case: Details of e-mail to son Rahul Mukherjea spell trouble for Peter Mukherjea

NEW DELHI: With the Central Bureau of Investigation ( CBI) securing three-day custody of former media baron Peter Mukherjea in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case, details of his e-mails to son Rahul Mukherjea asking him to “move on” and “forget Sheena” have surfaced in the public.

Peter while replying to his son through email, a copy of which is in possession of CBI, tries to answer Rahul’s queries on disappearance of Sheena almost a month after the murder. “I maintain Sheena is fine and if anyone asks you about her, ask them to contact Indrani,” Peter reportedly wrote from his email pmukherjea@gmail.com.

In response to this email, Rahul who was still not convinced with Peter’s reply, wrote another e-mail on May 27, 2012 saying “why can’t she speak for herself ?.. And so called father means what? His name is Siddharth Das and he is her biological dad. Not so called father. just as Indrani is her mother not her sister. Why don’t you do your own homework instead of believing in all the crap that you are fed…SO CALLED JIJU. Papa you are almost worse.”

Earlier, Peter had written to Rahul referring Sheena’s dad as “so called father” when he wrote, “If her socalled father and friends are so concerned then why don’t they call Indrani.” Talking about Sheena, Peter wrote, “She (Sheena) played you and now gone to something else. If I was you and I’ve told you this—just leave it and get on with your life,” the email reads.

In a late development, sources said Peter will be brought by CBI to its headquarters here for further examination. The sources, however, remained tight lipped about reasons which triggered this sudden move.
