Shashi Tharoor says people who support him are not rebels or against the Gandhis

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that people who supported him are not rebel or against the Gandhis.

Tharoor who is contesting presidential polls of the party in Guwahati on Saturday said, "Kharge sir is my leader as well. We are not enemies. I am the candidate of change in congress."

He said, "People who supported me are not rebel or against the gandhis ...this is a wrong notion. Gandhis are always with congress. We are also with Congress.We are contesting the election with the spirit, that who ever wins this elections , it will be victory of congress."


He added, "One of the main tasks of the new president is to reach out to other parties for 2024.Our test will be can we create a new national alliance.Our electorate consists of over 9 thousand congress men and thousands would decide and this is time when congress is getting a new president they younger are taking stride in every space in the country so I believe congress should be a party of young India. We need rejuvenation of congress party by young people. "

He said, "I feel sad to loose party leaders to BJP, this will be a key issue that I will handle if I am elected at president. If elected we will introduce elections to working committee.
We also want to bring in the parliamentary board in the party. "

He said, "I strongly believe in delegating the authority.I want to recreate the Congress party where we have very strong state leaders. Lot of top leaders did not attend my campaign, I dnt mind this. And the Gandhis have never declared any official candidates. They also want a free and fair election.The Congress's parties strength lied in the times when they had string state leaders-- that needs to be restored.It's a bit of matter of regret that i could go to 11 seats only due to paucity of time.It is a secret ballot so no one will know who voted for whom so even if top leaders don't turn up for my campaign, we will have to wait for results so no voters needs to worry."

He added that there is amazing support for me from younger leaders and workers in the party but yes old leader are with Kharge.
