Sharma, Rice set to discuss N-deal on Thursday

Singapore: India and the United States are expected to discuss the next steps in their bilateral nuclear deal here on Thursday, two days after Parliament reposed faith in the UPA government on the controversial pact.

Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma is expected to meet US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice on the sidelines of the ASEAN ministerial meet here.

"The two sides are expected to discuss the finer points related to the Indo-US nuclear deal," highly placed sources revealed here.

Sharma is heading the Indian delegation to the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) of which New Delhi is a dialogue partner.
