c NEW DELHI: The Opposition on Monday announced a ‘national committee’ with Janata Dal (U) dissident leader Sharad Yadav as its convenor for holding “save composite culture of India” conferences across the States.

ET reported in its Monday edition the Opposition plan to constitute the Yadav-headed committee, which comes amid Nitish Kumar’s threat to get him unseated from Parliament. The committee comprises representatives of 15 Opposition parties, including Anand Sharma (Congress), Ram Gopal Yadav (SP) Sitaram Yechury (CPM), Sukhendu Shekhar Roy (TMC) and Bhim Singh(BSP).

The committee members also include Gujarat JD(U) president Chottu Bhai Vasava along with Babulal Marandi (JVM), Tariq Anwar (NCP), Hemant Soren (JMM), D Raja, ( CPI), Jayant Chaudhary (RLD) Manoj Jha ( RJD) Prakash Ambedkar and Danish Ali (JD-S) and suspended JDU leader Ramai Ram.
