Sharad Pawar meets Jaganmohan Reddy, claims it's about Telengana issue

The two leaders met here for about 90 minutes giving rise to speculation about the possibility of some non-UPA, non-NDA alliance being floated.

MUMBAI: NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and YSR Congress President Jaganmohan Reddy said they discussed the Telengana issue in Mumbai on Monday, which had nothing to do with any kind of alliance.

“We had talks about the Centre’s decision to go ahead with the formation of Telangana. Jaganmohan is against the division of Andhra and feels that the state assembly must discuss the issue and vote on it before any division of the state. We did not discuss any political strategies or alliances,” Pawar told ET.

The two leaders met here for about 90 minutes giving rise to speculation about the possibility of some non-UPA, non-NDA alliance being floated, but Reddy too denied such a possibility.
