Sharad Pawar comes to the defence of PM Narendra Modi on Rafale

Upping the ante against Prime Minister Modi, the Congress even began a twitter campaign calling the PM a thief.

Rafale deal: Sharad Pawar backs Modi, says People don't doubt PM's intentions
At a time when the Congress has mounted a campaign against Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling him a ‘thief’ on the issue of the Rafale aircraft ‘scam’, a key ally of the Congress, the NCP has given a clean chit to the Prime Minister.

NCP Chief Sharad Pawar in an interview to a language news channel in Maharashtra said that ‘people still don’t have a doubt on Modi’s intentions’. Importantly he also faulted the Congress and other opposition parties that have been demanding that the technical details of the deal be revealed. The NCP chief however supported the opposition demand to reveal the price of the aircraft being procured from France.

Pawar’s comments would come as a huge shot in the arm for the embattled BJP which has been facing a barrage of questions and allegations on the Rafale deal. Upping the ante against Prime Minister Modi, the Congress even began a twitter campaign calling the PM a thief.
