Shahnawaz Hussain, Renu Devi in BJP’s top Bihar team to take on Nitish Kumar

NEW DELHI: The BJP leadership has included national spokesperson Shanawaz Hussain and former minister Renu Devi in its ‘collective leadership’ in Bihar to take on the Nitish Kumar. The inclusion of a minority leader and woman in its galaxy of Bihar leaders is seen as ‘course correction.’

The parivartan raths unleashed by BJP president Amit Shah early this month across the state had pictures of 12 party leaders from the state to project ‘collective leadership.’

However, there was neither a single woman nor a member from minority community in it. Shah noticed the omission and found it glaring since Hussain has virtually been camping in the state for electoral work.

Consequently, the party leadership made amendments before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally last Saturday when the full-page advertisements announcing the public rally incorporated pictures of Hussain and three-term party MLA Renu Devi also.
