A day after he resigned from the Union Council of Minister in the wake of the IPL Kochi controversy, Shashi Tharoor met Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

NEW DELHI: A day after he resigned from the Union Council of Minister in the wake of the IPL Kochi controversy, Shashi Tharoor on mOnday met Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
Tharoor, a Lok Sabha member from Thiruvananthapuram, met Mukherjee, who is the Leader of the Lok Sabha, but it is not known what transpired at the meeting.
The meeting took place in Parliament House premises. Tharoor resigned as Minister of State for External Affairs in the wake of allegations that he misused office to get Rs.70 crore worth sweat equity for his friend Sunanda Pushkar from IPL Kochi team owners.
