Seventeen dead in train-bus collision in Moga

MOGA (PUNJAB): At least 17 people were on Friday killed and several others injured in a collision between a mini-bus and a passenger train at a railway crossing in the district.

The bus carrying college students and teachers apparently could not see the approaching Ludhiana-Ferozepur Satluj Express due to fog and rammed into it at Nuchur Chak village between Ajitwal and Jagraon station, police said.

The toll was expected to go up as many of the injured were in a critical condition.
