LUCKNOW : At least seven people were killed in incidents of house collapse and drowning in the past 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh as fresh spell of monsoon rains hit the state.
Reports reaching here said three members of a family were killed in Mansoorpur village in Fatehpur district as their house collapsed following continued rainfall.
Several houses have reportedly collapsed due to the rains, the reports said. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals.
In Ballia, two people were killed as a wall collapsed in Panaspur village while in Gonda two children drowned in the Saryu river in Tulsipur Majha village, the reports added.
