Violent clash between two groups over a petty issue at Adgaon village in this district, injured seven persons and scores of vehicles were damaged.

AKOLA: Violent clash between two groups over a petty issue at Adgaon village in this district, injured seven persons and scores of vehicles were damaged, police said.

A police constable - Swapnil Vasant Deshmukh, attached to the Buldana police head quarter, who had come to the village to attend a marriage function, had an heated exchange with one Abdul Jahir over some petty issue, which resulted in a violent clash.

The angry crowd pelted stones on the tehasildar's office and also the Akot police chowkie was damaged by the angry mob.

Police arrested 36 persons and brought the situation under control, police said.
