MUZAFFARNAGAR: Tension mounted in different places of the district after seven girls were reported missing by their parents.

In some cases, parents complained that their daughters were "abducted" by several youths, sources said.

Guddia (19) and Samjo (17), daughters of Vijaypal of Bhopa, did not return home after they went to collect grass from jungle, they said.

In another incident, two sisters Riha(14) and Rambhatri(15), daughters of Ramesh, were allegedly abducted by two youths from Jat Magla Village.

In other similar incidents, two girls eloped from Talda and Bhud villages with their friend. While, Farzama eloped with her friend Ahsam from Kairana town.

Parents of the seven missing girls have lodged complaints against the suspected abductors. Police have started investigating the case.
