Senior citizens get locked up during sealing in Delhi

NEW DELHI: Two senior citizens were allegedly accidentally locked up by officials of MCD, who were sealing their property in West Delhi on Monday.

The incident took place in Tilak Nagar area, a senior MCD official said.

The two were rescued a couple of hours later. The official blamed "negligence" by the concerned MCD team for the incident and said necessary action would be taken against them.

The civic body has been conducting a Supreme Court-ordered sealing drive targeting illegal commercial units in the city.
