Sehwag goes for duck, India crawl to 51 for 1 at lunch

MOHALI: An ominous start pegged India back and the hosts crawled to 51 for one wicket at lunch on the opening day of the second and final cricket Test against England here on Friday.

Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's decision to bat first boomeranged as early as in the second over when comeback man Stuart Broad induced a nick to send Virender Sehwag back with his 10th Test duck against his name.

Gautam Gambhir (35) and Rahul Dravid (11) were in the middle at the lunch break as the hosts found themselves on the back foot early in the match.

A laden sky and a gushing wind made for home conditions for the visitors and Dhoni's decision to bat first he argued the track would turn later on -- looked far from vindicated as India found themselves at six for one with the in-form Sehwag back in the hut.

Sehwag somehow survived the first two balls from Broad before the English pacer had his number and it was a routine catch for Matt Prior behind the stumps that drew the first blood.
