Security tightened in Manipur
The Manipur government has stepped up vigilance and tightened security in the wake of a series of bomb blasts in last week.

Police and Manipur Rifles personnel have started checking roadside areas in various localities with sniffer dogs for planted explosives.
Patrolling has also been intensified in Imphal East and Imphal West districts, police said.
Superintendents of Police of both districts have appealed to the people to report to police if they found any suspicious object in their localities.
The government has been considering different strategies to tackle the situation including random checking of people in different parts of the state capital to intercept movement of ultras, official sources said.
Militants had exploded powerful bombs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday last in the heart of Imphal city in which three persons were killed and eight others injured.
