The two-day SAARC Summit, beginning on Wednesday, is expected to deliberate on a range of issues including liberalising trade, enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, healthcare, ensuring energy security and to deal with challenges of climate change.

On trade, he said SAARC has a huge potential to make the region a vibrant economic zone and strong commitment and decisive actions are required to fully and effectively implement South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA) agreement.
The Meeting of the Foreign Secretaries will submit its report to the meeting of SAARC Council of Ministers to be held tomorrow.
