Security beefed up at Rajkot Station after bomb threat
Security arrangements have been stepped up at Rajkot station after railway authorities received a letter threatening to blow up the station during Diwali.
The letter was posted from Vadodara, the ralway police said.
The letter written in Gujarati language said that trains passing through the station would be blown up by human bombers during the festival, the police said.
Police did not want to take the letter lightly. The railway police called the police team who came along with sniffer dog squad to searth of the station. But the police could not find anything objectionable in the station, police sources said.
As a precautionary measures, door frame detectors and sniffer dog squad have been posted at the station, the sources said. PTI
