Security arrangements around religious sites to be strengthened

NEW DELHI: Besides Taj Mahal in Agra, security arrangement around the three religious sites in Ayodhya, Mathura and Varanasi would be further strengthened. In this regard, UP government has asked the district officials concerned to send it necessary proposals within 15 days.

The officials will consult experts before preparing the proposals for making better security arrangements around these sites. UP Government wants use of modern technologies in the security arrangement for the religious compounds. Suggestions would be also sought from the senior officials CRPF and other units of central government agencies deployed in the security of the sites.

On Wednesday, a high level meeting was held in Lucknow by the Principal Secretary Dabashish Panda to review the security arrangements. UP DGP S Javeed Ahmad was also present at the meeting.
