BENGALURU: Fear gripped the visitors at the Air Force Station at Yelahanka on the second day of Aero India on Thursday as they witnessed two planes of the Flying Bulls team brush each other while performing manoeuvres on air at around 3.10 pm.

The planes, however, landed safely. The three-aircraft acrobatic team which had kept the crowd in awe, suddenly stopped their routine and only after the first plane had landed did the crowd realise what had happened mid air.The first of the planes made a hard landing with the wings hit ting the runway and the plane coming to a sudden halt.

The second plane with a damaged wing also made a safe landing but was able to taxi to static display area.Ambulances and fire engines rushed to the damaged planes and the air display was halted.The air display resumed after it was stopped for about half an hour.The Czech Republic-based Flying Bulls was captained by Radka Machova during the time of the incident.

This is the third Aero India that the Flying Bulls are attending, after 2011 and 2013. The team usually performs with four aircraft. This is one of the last air shows that the Flying Bulls are flying in their current planes the XA42 .
