NEW DELHI: Delhi Police's search in JNU for missing student Najeeb Ahmed concluded on Tuesday with no major clue emerging from it.
But police would question Ahmed's roommate, Mohammad Qasim, further to find out about the places where he was seen last. Qasim wasn't available for questioning as he was in his hometown for Eid. He may be put through a lie detector test too.

Tuesday was the second and final day of the search and began around 9am.About 600 personnel and five dog squads took part in it, just like on Monday . Police had claimed that 60% of the campus had been scanned on Monday itself, yet some of the search areas--all of them hostels--overlapped on both days.

Officers said all open ar eas, forests and hillocks inside the campus were scanned on Tuesday; Monday's search had mostly involved residential areas. A team re-visited Mahi Mandvi hostel where Ahmed stayed and let dogs sniff his clothes. But the dogs couldn't pick up any trail.

Police said the university administration and students fully cooperated.

Ahmed has been missing since October 15. Delhi Police would reward anyone giving any information about his whereabouts with Rs 10 lakh.
