Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) today announced names of all 32 candidates for the state assembly elections scheduled on April 12.

GANGTOK: With only a week left for filing nominations, ruling Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) today announced names of all 32 candidates for the state assembly elections scheduled on April 12.

Party president and Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling will fight from two constituencies Rangang-Yangang and Namchi-Singhithang in south Sikkim while Rajya Sabha member Hissey Lachungpa will contest from Gangtok, party spokesperson Bhim Dahal said here today.

The last date of filing nominations is March 19. Besides announcing nine new faces for the upcoming elections, SDF has also called back 11 former ministers and MLAs and decided to keep 12 existing members from the 2009-2014 batch of MLAs.
