Scrapping of interview in govt jobs to induct RSS cadres: Congress
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala unit of Congress today flayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of scraping interviews for lower rank jobs alleging that it was "an attempt to induct RSS cadres" in central government services.

Modi's announcement was part of a planned agenda to fill up RSS activists in key posts including in educational and research institutions in the country, KPCC president VM Sudheeran told press here.

"Modi made an announcement yesterday that there would be no requirement of interview for Group D,C and B non-gazetted posts in central government. Though he claimed that it is part of efforts to end corruption in jobs, the move is actually to induct RSS cadres in central services," Sudheeran alleged.

He also said the move was "unfortunate" and it should be opposed by everybody.

The Prime Minister, during his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' had said that the government had completed the entire process to do away with interviews for lower rank jobs and it would come into effect from January 1, 2016.

Attacking Modi over his alleged delayed reaction on the Dadri lynching and other similar incidents, Sudheeran said Prime Minister should perform "raj dharma" as BJP veteran and former Prime Minister A B Vajpayee had urged him during the time of Gujarat riots.

Sudheeran alleged that Sangh Parivar forces were trying to divide people on communal lines and trying to take back the country to the dark era.

He said while President Pranab Mukherjee strongly reacted to the growing intolerance in the country, Modi was "reluctant" to intervene.

Claiming that Congress alone can take all sections of the society together, he said the upcoming civic polls in the state would be "a verdict" against the policies of Modi government.
