MANGALORE: The "Science Express", an innovative science exhibition mounted on a special air conditioned train, will arrive here on March 29.

The "Science Express" train showcases the contemporary as well as futuristic advances in science and visitors traverse through topics from the 'Big Bang' to the nano cosmos, getting a fascinating insight into 12 interesting themes, selected to cover different spheres of knowledge, Dr K V Rao, Director, Pilikula Regional Science Society and P P Shetty, Senior General Manager, BASF (India), told reporters here last night.

Bedisolf Aniune Soda Fabrics, a German-based company, popularly known as BASF, is the corporte partner in this project. The much acclaimed "Kids Lab" takes visitors into the world of chemistry through a series of experiments, they said.

One coach in the train also highlights the evolution of Indian Science and Technology through various exhibits, they added.

The objective of this Indo-German venture was to nurture curiosity among youth and rekindle their waning interest in science, they said.
