Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot has said that the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, the scheme to give Rs 1000 per month to women above 18 years of age, will be implemented before the assembly elections in the capital.

The scheme was announced during the budget session for the financial year 2024-25.

While announcing the scheme, Atishi said, "Today we are introducing a revolutionary programme 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' in which women above 18 years of age will be given 1000 rupees every month,"

"A budget of Rs 2,714 crore has been proposed for these beneficiaries in the budget of 2024-25. Under the Rs. 2000 crore for 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' for the welfare and empowerment of women, every woman above 18 years of age will get an amount of Rs 1000 per month," Atishi added.

Gahlot, retaining the ministry for transport, home, administrative reforms, and women and child development, took charge on Tuesday.

While taking charge, Gahlot described himself as 'Hanuman' of Arvind Kejriwal and assured that he would complete pending work.

"By becoming Hanuman of Arvind Kejriwal my priority is to complete all the pending works and ensure that Arvind Kejriwal becomes the Chief Minister of Delhi again," Gahlot said.

On CM Atishi leaving the chair vacant for Arvind Kejriwal, Gahlot said, "There is nothing wrong with it. This means that when Lord Ram went into exile for 14 years and Bharat had to take charge, that was also wrong which means that BJP is against Lord Ram. It is a part of Indian tradition to respect elders. There is nothing wrong with it."

Earlier, Kailash Gahlot has emphasized that Kejriwal guidance will continue after Ati shi took charge as Delhi CM.

"Arvind Kejriwal's guidance as party's national convenor will continue. Our only goal is to continue to work for the people of Delhi and to bring back Arvind Kejriwal. We will try to complete all the major works," he said.
