Scams were order of the day during UPA regime: Sudarshan Bhagat
MEDININAGAR (JHARKHAND): Union Minister Sudarshan Bhagat today alleged that scams were order of the day during previous UPA regime and claimed development was the agenda for the Narendra Modi government.

"No day had passed without a scam being unearthed during the UPA government...it was a suitcase regime," the Minister of State for Rural Development told the BJP's Palamau district unit convention here.

"The BJP government has ensured states get money through coal block auction while the UPA had allocated it to corporate sectors," he said.

Attacking Congress' ongoing 'Gaon, Gaon, Paon, Paon' (village programme) against the one-year rule of the Modi government, Bhagat accused the party of being a party of corporate sectors.

Speaking on the proposed Land Acquisition Bill and the subsequent ordinance, he said, "It is in the interest of farmers."

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was keen to fulfil the needs of the last person of the society.
