The Supreme Court of India is set to hear Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea against his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate and his subsequent remand in a money-laundering case linked to the excise policy on April 15.

A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta will hear the matter.

Earlier today, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh alleged that Kejriwal was being tortured inside jail premises.

"Inside the jail, Arvind Kejriwal is being tortured at the behest of the Government of India and PM Modi," said Singh.

Action is being taken to break his morale, he added during a press conference.

Meanwhile, Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann will meet the Delhi Chief Minister on Monday at Tihar Jail.

Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21, hours after the high court refused to grant him protection from coercive action by the federal anti-money laundering agency.

He was sent to judicial custody on April 1 after he was produced in the trial court on the expiry of his ED custody. He is currently lodged in Tihar jail.
