NEW DELHI: Justice H S Bedi of the Supreme Court has savings of over Rs 1 crore in various banks and other schemes, according to his declaration of assets posted on the apex court’s website. He was the only judge who did not declare his assets on November 2 due to the death of his parent.

Justice Bedi has a total deposit of Rs 61,50,043 in various bank accounts. In State Bank of Patiala he has a deposit of Rs 21,78,323 while in the same bank he has another savings of Rs 3,38,452.

According to his declaration, he has a savings of Rs 26,32,167 in UCO Bank, Rs 6,65,314 in HDFC Bank, Rs 3,05,787 in Bank of Punjab and about Rs 30,000 in three different banks namely Punjab & Sind Bank, UCO Bank and Punjab National Bank.

Further, Justice Bedi has a savings of Rs 48,04,455 in various schemes. He has invested Rs 10,00,000 in fixed deposits, Rs 3,67,177 in NSC, Rs 1,41,483 in PPF, Rs 30,35,795 in GPF and Rs 2,60,000 in three LIC policies.

Justice Bedi has disclosed that he owns two residential properties: One in the posh Panchsilla Park area of the Capital while he has only one-third share in another residential land located in Solan district of Himachal pradesh. The value of both the residential properties is not disclosed.
