The BSP had done poorly in the SC/ST seats in 2012 polls and Mishra is aiming to consolidate the upper caste, especially Brahmin votes in these areas.

NEW DELHI: BSP chief Mayawati has launched her Brahmin outreach program as her party gears up to take on rivals in the upcoming polls. Her party’s tallest Brahmin leader, Satish Chandra Mishra, kicked of the first of a series of Brahmin focused conventions with a rally in Khajni Vidhan Sabha.

Mishra would be holding 30-odd rallies in reserved constituencies.

The BSP had done poorly in the SC/ST seats in 2012 polls and Mishra is aiming to consolidate the upper caste, especially Brahmin votes in these areas by holding rallies. Ramveer Upadhyay will hold rallies in west UP.
