Saradha scam: Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy assures cooperation in CBI probe

KOLKATA: Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy, who has been asked to appear before the CBI in connection with the Saradha scam, today said he would be available to the agency on January 30 and cooperate in the investigation.

"I returned to Kolkata today after completing my schedule of work in New Delhi. I'll meet the CBI officers and cooperate with them in the investigation," Roy told reporters at NSC Bose International Airport.

"I'll reach the CBI office at the appointed hour," he said.

CBI officers told yesterday that Roy had assured them that he would appear before them on January 30.

Roy was earlier asked to appear before CBI by January 21, but the TMC MP had sought time which was granted.
