Saradha scam: CBI arrests former union minister Matang Sinh

Kolkata: The CBI on Saturday arrest- ed former Union minister and media baron Matang Sinh in connection with the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam. Sinh, a former minister of state for parliamentary affairs in the PV Narasimha Rao government (1991- 96), was arrested after several hours interrogation in Kolkata, said a CBI official. In his 18-page letter to the CBI, CMD of Saradha Group, Sudipto Sen has named Matang Sinh for “fleecing money” from him.
