Saradha scam: CBI arrests Assamese singer Sadanand Gogoi

KOLKATA: CBI today arrested Assamese singer Sadanand Gogoi here in connection with multi-crore Saradha chitfund scam.

"Sadanand Gogoi has been arrested on allegations of conspiracy and misappropriation of funds," CBI sources here told PTI.

CBI sources said Gogoi was summoned at its CGO complex office for the fourth time today and was arrested after interrogation.

He would be produced before a court tomorrow. CBI has already arrested former west Bengal DG (Armed Police) Rajat Majumder, East Bengal club official Debabrata Sarkar and businessman Sandhir Agarwal in connection with Saradha ponzi scam.
