Sanjaya Baru resigns from FICCI

Sanjaya Baru was appointed secretary general in September last year. He replaced A Didar Singh.

Former media advisor to Ex-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Sanjaya Baru resigned today from FICCI, after a short stint with the business chamber where he was the secretary general.

Sanjaya Baru was appointed secretary general in September last year. He replaced A Didar Singh. There was a change in FICCI leadership a few months after Baru took charge as general secretary.

Rashesh Shah, chairman & CEO of Edelweiss Group, took over as president in December.


The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is a consortium of business organisations in India.
