MUMBAI: Actor Sanjay Dutt will know on Friday whether he can celebrate Diwali at home or in jail. Lawyers will bring up his bail plea before the Supreme Court on the last working day before the Diwali vacation.
The actor was, in July 2007, sentenced to six years' rigorous imprisonment, for illegal possession of an AK-56 rifle
prior to the March 12, 1993 bomb blasts, even though the judge held that he was no terrorist and not concerned with the conspiracy behind the blasts.
