Sanjay Dutt moves SC against his conviction

Actor Sanjay Dutt on Tuesday filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against his conviction by the TADA court in the Mumbai blasts case.

NEW DELHI: Actor Sanjay Dutt on Tuesday filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against his conviction by the TADA court in the Mumbai blasts case.

He has also moved an application seeking bail. "We have filed an appeal against the conviction and also have prayed for his bail," Dutt's counsel Satish Maneshinde said.

Dutt was given a six-year jail term in the 1993 serial blasts case by the TADA court on July 31.
