Sambit Tripathy appointed OSD to petroleum minister

NEW DELHI: IRS officer Sambit Tripathy has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Tripathy, a 1998-batch Indian Revenue Service ( Income Tax) officer, has been appointed for a period of five years of his central deputation, that is, up to June 14, 2017, or on coterminous basis with the minister's tenure, according to an order issued yesterday by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet.
