Samajwadi Party won pramukh, zila panchayat chief polls with goonda help: Mayawati, BSP
Mayawati asked her party workers to continue help the people so that they know BSP lives up to their expectations despite being in the opposition.

"Though BSP had emerged as the front runner in the zila panchayat elections earlier, in the indirect polls to the block pramukh and zila panchayat chairman's posts, the ruling party made use of official machinery and goonda elements in a big way," she told senior office bearers and workers of all the units of her party here.
"By doing so, Samajwadi Party might have drawn some satisfaction but it has further damaged the image of the party and the government...The graph of the SP leadership has further plummeted," Mayawati said.
The background of the 36 SP candidates for elections to the Legislative Council next month gives strength to the image of the ruling party being "casteist, criminal and one promoting dynastic politics", the BSP chief alleged.
"Under such a state of affairs, it can be said the remaining days of the SP government will prove to be more problematic for the people of the state," she said.
Mayawati asked her party workers to continue help the people under these "adverse" circumstances so that they know BSP lives up to their expectations despite being in the opposition.
She also reviewed the preparations of the party organisations, reorgansiation of left over committees and political situation in the state.
