Slamming the BJP government on GST and demonetisation, the SP president said that the upcoming election will be fought on issues and not on personalities.
He said that the banks are facing huge problems citing the problem of NPAs being faced by them.
He said that if the BJP has a formula for winning the polls, even the Samajwadi Party and its alliance partners have a formula for winning the elections.
The confirmation from the SP president on tying up with the Congress for the Madhya Pradesh elections is in continuation of the massive opposition unity that is building up against the BJP.
In the recently held Kairana bypolls, the BJP had to face defeat at the hands of the combined strength of the opposition as the SP, BSP and the Congress supported the RLD candidate against the BJP.
Both the Congress and the SP had contested the 2017 Uttar Pradesh elections as allies against the BJP but lost comprehensively.
