Samajwadi Party fields Uttar Pradesh minister from Jaunpur Lok Sabha seat
The party has not cited any reason for changing the candidate though.

LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party today changed its Lok Sabha candidate from Jaunpur constituency and gave ticket to cabinet minister Parasnath Yadav from there.
"Party has declared Parasnath Yadav in placed of K P Yadav as its candidate from Jaunpur constituency", SP national General Secretary Ramgopal Yadav said.
The party has not cited any reason for changing the candidate.
Jaunpur seat is presently represented by BSP's Dhananjay Singh, who is currently in jail in connection with a rape case. He is also charged with helping his wife Jagriti Singh, accused of atrocity on maid due to which she died.
SP sources said that Parasnath had defeated Jagriti, who contested as an independent candidate in 2012 assembly elections from Mailani seat, and he could strongly contest Dhananjay in Loksabha polls.
