Samajwadi Party announces candidates for UP, Uttarakhand polls

The Samajwadi Party today announced candidates for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Assembly polls.

LUCKNOW: The Samajwadi Party today announced candidates for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Assembly polls.

SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav announced the candidature of Umesh Sharma for Kalagundi Assembly seat in Uttarakhand, party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said here.

For Uttarakhand's Ramnagar seat, Abdul Gaffar has been replaced by Mohd Sami.

For Gadarpur constituency, Bali Ahmad was replaced by Saherum Khan alias Tony Pathan, Chaudhary said.

For the Uttar Pradesh polls, state SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has named Abdul Gaffar as party candidate from Swartanda seat in Rampur district.

In Mankapur Assembly constituency in UP, Palturam has been replaced by Babulal Kori.
