Salman's bail plea deferred till Thursday

JODHPUR: The Bench of Justice H R Pawar on Wednesday deferred Salman Khan's bail plea hearing till Thursday. The Bench was approached by the actor after Justice G K Vyas' refusal to hear the plea.

In a surprise development earlier, Justice Vyas of the Rajasthan High Court refused to hear the bail application of actor Salman Khan.

Justice G K Vyas, who was to hear the actor's bail plea asked Salman's advocate to approach another Bench.

Salman's counsel then approached the Bench of Justice H R Pawar, who deferred the hearing till Thursday.

Justice Vyas had got Khan's revision petition listed hearing on Wednesday after the star was sentenced to five years in prison following his conviction in the chinkara poaching case.

Khan was arrested in Jodhpur jail on Saturday. The actor had spent three nights in the same barrack in April last year before he got bail.
