Salman Khan’s tweets have now landed his film ‘ Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in trouble. Angry with the actor’s tweet asking for the noose to be spared for 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakoob Memon, angry Shiv sainiks on Sunday tore down posters of Salman’s movie at Satara and also disrupted the screening.

In a series of tweets that began last night, Salman, tweeted, “ Don’t hang brother, hang tha lombi who ran away” said Salman in a series of over a dozen tweets, asking for Yakoob to be let off, “ 1 innocent man killed is killing the humanity.”

The tweets however led to both the Shiv Sena and BJP slamming him. While the BJP submitted a memorandum to the Maharashtra Governor K Vidyasagar Rao asking him to cancel the actor’s bail, the Sena went one step further. Sena workers tore up posters and poured ink on Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s posters and then disrupted the screening in a movie theatre in Satara. The actor has however now ‘retracted’ and ‘apologised’ for his comments and has said that his intention was not to hurt anyone’s feelings.
