Salman granted bail by High Court

The Rajasthan High Court today granted bail to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, nearly a week after he was sent to jail in connection with the Chinkara poaching case.

JODHPUR: The Rajasthan High Court today granted bail to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, nearly a week after he was sent to jail in connection with the Chinkara poaching case.
The court, while hearing the revision petition along with bail application filed by the actor, ordered his release on a security of Rs 1 lakh and a bond of Rs 50,000.
The court fixed the next date of hearing the revision petition on 24 October.
Salman, who was arrested on Saturday last, is lodged in the Central Jail here after losing his appeal in the district and session court of Jodhpur against his sentence in the Chinkara poaching case handed out by the Chief Judicial Magistrate on April 10.
