Sakshi Maharaj expresses regret in Lok Sabha over Nathuram Godse remarks
NEW DELHI: For the second time in a fortnight, a BJP member was forced to apologise in Parliament over objectionable remarks made outside the House. After Union minister Niranjan Jyoti’s apology last week, BJP member Sakshi Maharaj on Friday expressed regret for his comment describing Nathuram Godse as a patriot.

Despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi telling the Lok Sabha last week that he had warned his party colleagues against making any controversial remarks, Sakshi has made inflammatory comments, leading to MPs discussing whether it was part of a BJP strategy or whether Modi was finding it difficult to restrain hardcore elements in his party.
