Sadhu Yadav is an enemy, says Rabri Devi

PATNA: Former CM Rabri Devi on Wednesday went hammer and tongs against her brother Sadhu Yadav's decision to contest as independent against her from Saran constituency.

Terming Sadhu as ' dushman' (enemy), Rabri said she was not going to placate him. "There is no question of any appeasement or compromise with a 'dushman' like him. Voters of the constituency know the real intention of such elements and they will give him a befitting reply," she said while campaigning in Saran. She, however, didn't take Sadhu's name.

Reacting bitterly to the decision of his mama (maternal uncle), Rabri's elder son Tej Pratap said he (Sadhu) would finish last if he entered the fray. He is doing all this for cheap popularity, Tej Pratap said.

RJD national spokesperson and Delhi University teacher Manoj Jha said the party leadership was hardly bothered about Sadhu's decision. "Sadhu has chosen his own path. He will not make any adverse impact on the prospects of RJD candidate in Saran or anywhere else," Jha said.

However, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad tried to play cool over Sadhu issue. "We are not bothered who is fighting from where. There will be no trace of such elements in Saran polls," Lalu said.

However, RJD insiders said some common relatives are making attempts to soothe the anger of Sadhu. Some senior RJD leaders, who are friendly with Sadhu, also tried to dissuade him from contesting against his sister. However, Sadhu did not oblige them.
