Sack NIA Chief: Congress
NEW DELHI: The Congress on Wednesday demanded the removal of National Investigation Agency ( NIA) chief in view of the special court’s observation against the agency while refusing to grant bail to Sadhvi Pragya in the Malegaon blast case.

The Opposition party also asked the Centre, in view of the Court observation, to explain why “sensitive cases are being deliberately manipulated to undermine law and justice” and demanded “the de-notification of specific lawyers from the NIA panel, probe their conduct and reinstatement of prosecutors who had been dropped deliberately”.

The Congress has also demanded the Centre make public the Home Ministry constituted BK Prasad committee’s report on the Ishrat Jehan missing papers case.
