HINDON AIR BASE: Indian batting legend and Honorary Group Captain of the Indian Air Force Sachin Tendulkar today attended the 83rd Air Force celebration here.

The Master Blaster, who has retired from international cricket, is the first sportsperson to be made an honorary Group Captain in the Indian Air Force.

In a brief interaction with few journalists, Tendulkar said he wanted to bring his son, who loves the IAF, along but could not.

He also ruled out possibility of him flying in Sukhoi fighter jet soon.

"Proud of the dedication of #IndianAirForce. Thank you to each of them for their commitment & many sacrifices #IAFDay," he tweeted after the event.

Dressed in his IAF uniform, Tendulkar witnessed a splendid air show at the base with various aircraft doing stunning aerobatics in the air.

He also posted videos of the celebration on his Instagram account.
